APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Apple Cider Vinegar, a six-part Netflix series, premiered globally in February 2025. The fictionalised drama is inspired by Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano’s book, The Woman Who Fooled the World: the true story of fake wellness guru Belle Gibson

Set at the birth of Instagram, Apple Cider Vinegar follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way. All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were true.

Directed by Jeffrey Walker and created by acclaimed writer Samantha Strauss (Nine Perfect Strangers), the series dives into the origins of Instagram-fueled wellness culture and the unexpected rise and fall of an empire built on deception.

Starring Kaitlyn Dever, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Aisha Dee, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Ashley Zukerman, Mark Coles Smith, Susie Porter, Matt Nable, Phoenix Raei, Chai Hansen, Richard Davies, Essie Davis, Kieran Darcy-Smith and Catherine McClements (full list of cast and crew on IMDb).

The series was produced by See-Saw Films (Slow Horses, Heartstopper) and shot on location in Melbourne.
